Beginners & Beyond Wheel Throwing with Martha Wallace
Whether you have some experience with wheel throwing or are brand new to clay, this mixed skill level class allows new students to learn from those who have gotten thier hands wet. Beginning students will learn how to prepare the clay, center clay on the wheel and create cylinders and bowls as well as being introduced to glazing techniques. Martha’s returning students will expand their skills with projects including: lidded vessels, handles, joined forms, and surface decoration. The class fee includes firing fees for class projects and one 25lb bag of clay and four open studio visits. Studio monthly members receive a $40 discount on classes.

Introduction to Clay Handbuilding with Chasse Davidson
Chasse’s class starts with the fundamentals of working with clay. If you have always wanted to experiment with clay this class will expose you to the vast possibilities awaiting. Students will explore coil building, pinch pots, slab construction, extruded forms and an introduction to the world of glazing. Clay, firing fees for class projects, and four open studio visits are included in the class fee. Studio monthly members receive a $40 discount on this class.
